We are proud to announce the launch of our new specialist training centre – the first of its kind in the facilities management industry. During today’s short opening ceremony, the ribbon was cut by sporting legend Graham Gooch – whose cricket academy is based at the home of Essex County Cricket Club, The Cloudfm County Ground, in Chelmsford.
The Cloudfm Academy has been purpose built to meet the current and future needs of the FM sector, enabling us to equip our staff with the skills and confidence to excel in their careers, and take our organisation forward to even greater success. The continuous improvement enabled by this industry-leading training will result in an even more effective and efficient service delivery, which of course translates into tangible benefits for all our clients.
Located in a new building close to our headquarters in Colchester, this purpose-built centre represents the next stage of our investment in skills and growth, and the courses on offer build on the success of our existing bespoke training programme. All Cloudfm staff now have the opportunity to pursue their career goals with even greater support from us, helping to build confidence, increase knowledge, and nurture the innovative approach that such a forward-thinking organisation demands.
Cloudfm Academy offers a number of industry-specific training opportunities across a range of technical, interpersonal and leadership topics – with classroom-based courses developed in partnership with the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM), and hands-on, practical training delivered in a custom-built engineering suite, which has been designed to meet the specific needs of the FM sector, and features the typical appliances and systems found across client estates. In addition, the facility acts as a central hub for our Apprenticeship programme.
“We are changing the rules, re-defining traditional industry processes, and harnessing the latest technology to offer a more effective and efficient service. To do this we need talented and driven individuals; the people behind the technology who provide expertise where the system requires it, the multi-skilled engineers delivering proactive maintenance, and the FM-specific core services underpinning the organisation,” said Jeff Dewing, CEO at Cloudfm Group. “Our new Cloudfm Academy isn’t just another way in which we do things differently to the norm, it’s central to our strategy for growth and excellence. By empowering our people to become the best at what they do, and further their careers, we can elevate our offering even further, fuelling our business and providing tangible benefits to our clients, too.”
