After the success of the first Cloudfm Shared Services Engineer Conference held in December 2015 for 30 engineers, we knew that the next one would be even bigger and better. Fast-forward six months and we’ve more than tripled in size with nearly 100 engineers!
With such a huge jump in numbers it was important to get everyone together and focus on one of the key qualities that makes Cloudfm different to other FM providers — quality.
Kicking off the day was CEO Jeff Dewing, who thanked everyone for their continued hard work and dedication to the company before moving on to talk about some of the milestones Cloudfm had achieved so far this year.
One of the hot topics of the day was training for engineers and staff, an area Cloudfm is committed to improving and excelling in. Kevin Bunn, Operations Manager, went through the ways we’re looking to educate staff and a taste of the specialist fields engineers can expect to be trained in. And it wasn’t just formal knowledge for engineers and staff that was discussed – the senior team also impressed upon engineers how vital they are to building relationships and supporting our clients in the field. Jeff Dewing said, “You are our frontline team and the epitome of what Cloudfm represents.”
Before a well-earned lunch, the engineers were given important talks on health and safety information and compliance. Then the afternoon session continued with a look at the range of new systems and processes currently being developed, before wrapping up with discussion of Cloudfm’s recent collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric, and the new offices Cloudfm is opening across the country.
The feedback from the event has been incredible and we’re excited about what amazing things to expect from our exceptional team of engineers over the next six months. Watch this space!
