As proud sponsors of the Cloudfm County Ground, home of Essex County Cricket Club, we were only too pleased to field a number of players in the Sponsors and Partners T20 match this week, with our very own Commercial Director Adam Clayfield captaining one of the day’s teams, and Account Manager Matt Archer also stepping up to the wicket. The other team has captained by Simon Pinion, advisor at accountants Scrutton Bland. Jack Stevens, a management trainee at logistics leaders Woodland Group, was player of the match, having hit a superb 28 runs from only 10 balls.
Drawing towards the end of an exciting season for Essex Cricket, the last few weeks have seen some big signings with retiring international and former England captain Alistair Cook committing his future to the club, Australian international Peter Siddle signing an extended contract, and India opener Murali Vijay signing for the final games of the season.
