Kat Christopoulos Head of ESG at Cloud, shares the good news report on progress against our 2023 targets

Published 22/02/2024

In the world of ESG and Sustainability it is important to share positive outcomes and progress, sometimes news in this space can be far from encouraging, so it is with great pride that I can share the encouraging results of Cloud’s first annual ESG report.

My colleagues and our whole business from supply chain partners, through to our client-facing teams, have made great strides.
Cloud is building a resilient business that has a positive impact on the environment and its people.

Attached here is the full annual report and our fresh targets for 2024: Cloud ESG Report 2023

The key highlights of our 2023 report are the following reductions measured against 2022:

– 8% reduction in full scope tCO2e – the majority of our footprint is in scope 3 but we reduced across all scopes
– 4% reduction in gas usage – we are electrifying our heating and installed a heat pump at our Head Office
– 27% reduction in electric CO2 emissions –due to securing a 100% REGO backed renewable electricity supply
– 7% reduction in scope 3 purchased goods and services emissions – the data quality here is poor but we are on the path to collecting this data and have now obtained better quality data for a quarter of our supply chain, things can only get better!
– 37% reduction in business travel CO2 – source data improved from May 2023 and is now very accurate
– Increase of females on board of Directors
– Employee survey response rate greater than 90% with an eNPS of 71

    Focus areas for 2024-25:

– Employee Commuting – post-COVID rise in commutes to Head Office, we’re working with our team to evaluate this
– Scope 1,2 &3 CO2 reduction against the 2019 baseline – 44% reduction in 2023 and 55% target by 2025
– Supply Chain Scope 3 calculated – 27% good quality data in 2023, and 60% target by 2025
– Improve reporting on training hours for employees.
