This week, Cloudfm formally celebrated its Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation, in an exclusive ceremony held at Cloudfm’s head office in Colchester. We were delighted to welcome Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Essex, Jennifer Tolhurst, who presented CEO Jeff Dewing with the prestigious Queen’s Award Bowl.
We also welcomed a number of special dignitaries, including the Vice Lord-Lieutenant – Vincent Thompson, the Mayor and Mayoress of Colchester – Nick and Elizabeth Cope and Ian Vipond from Colchester Borough Council, who revelled in the celebrations and also joined an exclusive tour of the Cloudfm campus.
The tour included the grand opening of Cloudfm’s Innovation hub. This was developed following a £195,000 award by the UK government’s innovation agency, Innovate UK, and the forming of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with the University of Essex’s leading AI academics. Together, we will research and build state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities for some of the world’s leading brands.
The Queens Award is a huge honour to receive and we are committed to continually innovating our ground-breaking technology and processes to promote the right behaviour and restore faith in our industry. This award coincides with Cloudfm’s ambitious IT development programme, which will see us realise our goal to provide the most proactive and efficient FM solution in the market. The opening of our Innovation hub will support us in this mission, and we hope that it will inspire others to follow our lead.
