Last week, Cloudfm’s IT department’s hosted a 24-hour Hackathon. Held at Cloudfm’s brand new Innovation hub, all of the concepts for the hacks were voted for by Cloudfm employees and the teams did a fantastic job implementing these, which could potentially change the way we deliver service to our clients.
CIO Steve Corbett headed up the hack, which saw four teams work through the day and night, working on apps and new prototypes that will help us to improve the way we work.
The majority of the IT department work primarily on keeping the IT side of the business operational; ensuring the Freedom portal is running and bug free, developing solutions to business problems (as seen in the hack), and resolving tickets. In fact over the last year the team has managed to drastically reduce the number of open tickets to an all time low. This leaves the rest of the team to fully focus on developing our new IoT project, and securing our place in the FM industry of the future.
