The team at Cloudfm have raised £6000 for national charity, Sepsis Trust UK, with their Christmas Raffle.
The Cloudfm Christmas charity raffle has become an annual tradition and this year we chose to support Sepsis Trust, a cause that is close to our hearts. In 2016, Cloudfm engineer Mark Beard tragically lost his daughter Kayleigh to Sepsis. Mark is passionate about raising awareness of the condition to help prevent other families from suffering such devastating loss.
Thanks to the generosity of supply chain partners and clients we managed to secure more than 50 fantastic prizes worth over £10k. Raffle ticket sales totalled a huge £6014, all of which will be donated to Sepsis Trust to help them raise awareness and save lives, and raffle winners were announced at the Cloudfm Christmas party on 16th December.
Sepsis kills 44,000 people every year in the UK, but if diagnosed early enough anyone can survive.
As well as raising public awareness, Sepsis Trust also provide education for health professionals about the condition, run regional support networks for those affected by Sepsis, as well as lobbying the government to drive national change.
The funds raised by Cloudfm will allow Sepsis Trust to give education and awareness resources to three hospitals, put on 10 regional support group events to help those affected by Sepsis and educate 500 members of the public so they know how to look out for Sepsis.
