So Essex County Cricket Club has gone and done a Leicester City – winning the top division in their sport as the underdogs (with a lot of talent, obviously).
It’s an achievement that really deserves a shout out. Essex was only promoted to the first division county championship this year. And they’ve done it comfortably. There are still two games to go. As ground sponsors, all of us at Cloudfm couldn’t be happier for the guys.
When we began our association at the beginning of the year, we were struck by a number of similarities between Essex’s ethos and our own ambitions. One in particular: their super-ambitious goal to win the first division on the back of winning the second division last year.
That really seemed like a point of connection. Cloudfm was founded by two engineers with an ambition to change the facilities management sector. And judging by some of the reactions of our customers, we’re making great progress. Clearly, our frame-breaking approach works for them.
Another connected value is Essex’s commitment to training. And on that score, we’re making another giant leap towards our ambition to improve our sector soon. On 19 October in fact. Watch this space.
